Members of the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to McDonald’s on East Putnam Avenue shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, where there was a report of a man asleep behind the wheel, blocking the driveway into the eatery.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Stamford resident Antonio Alberto Jara-Trujillo sleeping, and when he was woken up, police said he was unsteady on his feet and alcohol was emanating from his breath. He proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Jara-Trujillo was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Following arraignment, he was released on $250 bond and released.

Jara-Trujillo is due back in Stamford Superior Court on May 14 to answer the charge.
